The week before Christmas always seems to pass in a rush. I felt off for a couple of days early last week. Thankfully it appears to be just my sinuses reacting to all the crap the strong winds blew in. That slowed me down a bit on the stuff that had to get done, but didn't stop progress completely. All the gifts were wrapped yesterday. Even My Guy has all his wrapping done. There were two sewing projects that had deadlines this month. The first was the guild BOM.

I've put off learning to quilt with a walking foot for years. The walking foot was this scary sewing machine accessory that I didn't want to take the time to figure out. I'll give myself a break for when I was working, I barely had time to piece a few quilts each year. But I've been retired for almost 2 and half years. I have lots more sewing time. She started some trivets at the retreat and she wanted to finish at least one of them before she went home. So we cut the batting and backing for one of the mats.
